SWSJG is a volunteer, non-profit organization. Our ability to keep golf affordable for our youth is by the support and donations from individuals and businesses such as you.
We invite you to be a sponsor and partner of our interactive golf program for our youth. SWS offers golfing programs geared toward new and growing junior golfers.
During the summer months, SWS operates a full-day “Golf Training Days” for juniors, filled with golf skill set clinics and education on golf’s rules and regulations,
etiquette, and fitness exercises. A curriculm of Arts and Writing is included in the program. Academic assistance through tutoring and college preparation work is offered
to all junior program participants.
The junior golfers are passionate about the game of golf and eager to compete. Participation in sanctioned tournaments allows them to establish a ranking as well as showcase their
talents. SWSJG recognizes that competition for college golf scholarships tends to favor sanctioned tournament participants thus, SWS encourages and supports its junior golfers
participation in these events. SWSJG supports the game of golf and the values that are inherent to the sport. Junior golfers need to be trained, coached and prepared at an early age
typically well before they even reach high school. The SWSJG program expands junior golfer exposure while providing opportunities to compete not only on the golf course but for
collegiate scholarships as well.
Some of the junior golfers supported by SWSJG have already started achieving their goals and are recognized locally and nationally. This academic year 2017-2018, two of SWSJG (Alicia Colson and Morgan Miner) will be
golfer's for the new Women's team at the University Maryland Eastern Shore. Micaa' Thomas who had been swinging and maintaining her game is in the top 100 of collegiate golfers for SCAD, in Atlanta, GA also a member of the SWSJG
SWSJG is hosting a fundraising drive from May 15 - June 10, 2017 to help to offset the season of 2017.
